Saying there is no such Genesis file however when i validated it said I have a valid Genesis file. Very new to Ubuntu so am total newb. Thanks in advance.
Ok so are you first setting up on Mainnet or Testnet?
So some of the documentation is different for each.
Are you following steps from here?

To check you have a genesis file check
ls ~/.secretd/config/ It should show genesis.json
If not retry to download it at step 4 on the docs.
