Following the Shockwave Delta upgrade that was applied on September 21 (Proposal #110), we found a bug that affects sending SNIP20 tokens over IBC.

There’s no risk for funds, consensus or privacy.

  • After a quick poll with the validators, we decided to do a small chain upgrade to fix the bug.
  • Later today we’ll post an on-chain upgrade proposal, targeting the mainnet upgrade time to be Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 2:00PM UTC.
  • The pulsar-2 testnet will be upgrade ahead of the mainnet upgrade, most likely on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 2:00PM UTC.

no thoughts on the chain upgrade, but the PR and tests/regression test look cleaaaaaaan :slight_smile:

Update: due to the Israeli holidays we’re still not uploading the proposal, we want to make sure that we have enough devs to do some more testing and provide support while the upgrade is ongoing
