Given current conditions, I’m reducing the ask by 20% for the next quarter.
The number of validators will be cut to 7.
And instead of an hourly rate, support and maintenance is minimal atm, I’ll request $600/month.
I am fully committed for any support, maintenance, etc, that may arise during the quarter.

The reduction is good but I wonder about the need to pay for what appears to be 16 api nodes (and a load balancer) for testnet. Paying $2400 monthly seems overkill for this. Do you feel like having a backup endpoint for this is really needed right now?
Yes, I do feel it’s needed, demand naturally fluctuates, especially on testnet.
We’ve often seen peak demand take out a node or 2.
Its 3 API nodes, plus a load balancer which does duty for Grafana, Prometheus etc.
The backup is exactly the same.
With all the partnerships in the pipeline, there are more builders relying on the testnet.
$1200 pays for 3 api nodes and monitoring? Thats $400 per node, some amount less to account for monitoring. No reason to pay for 2 deployments of monitoring on this at all. Etc. I’m not sure why what is being paid for is obfuscated like this but I assume its the price gouging on important parts that are being overcharged. Secret is under $0.30.
The server’s primary purpose is Nginx, I wouldn’t run it on the same machine as a node.
It also runs Grafana and such services because those only serve one user, and they don’t add much load.
We cannot cut it from the backup nodes, because Nginx is what needs to be reliable.

I’m a little disappointed you used words like price gouging, especially after I did so much to support the network, and even you personally, eg the token swap where I did the bulk of the work for the crumbs of the budget.
I just expected you’d give me more credit than that.
But I’ll leave it at that, and thank you for your support in the past.
$1200 for 3 nodes + grafana is more than any other proposal outside of figment has been compensated. Compensation for running validators is also crazy high.

You were paid handsomely for all the work that you did related to the swap, worth 15-30k usd or more depending on when you sold. If you feel like this was underpaid, its the first im hearing about it, and it’s an interesting position for you to take👀.
Really my feedback is simple, the prop over charges. Don’t really worry too much about my feedback, others won’t notice that its overprice / higher priced than network has paid for this type of thing in the past. So no worries I guess.
