A lot of information can be gotten easily from internet sources. The weather, a sports score, the price of turnips in Taipei. I think that is what we are thinking about when we use the term oracle. I’m wondering about the hard to access information that may be protected or sensitive. The signing of a paper contract or will in front of a notary where the document does not become public record is an example. I’m sure there are many others but this one got me thinking that notaries are already bonded and insured and could be part of an oracle network providing this specialty service. A dApp where they could witness and attest to events as needed to satisfy contractual requirements would be interesting. Many notaries already travel to wherever they are needed to witness signatures. Your thoughts?
