# Enigma\_surface\_1: Waiting for enigma\_core\_1

Hey guys, we are following the steps from the guide - [https://blog.enigma.co/getting-started-with-the-enigma-protocol-a-complete-developers-guide-170b7dfa5c0f](https://blog.enigma.co/getting-started-with-the-enigma-protocol-a-complete-developers-guide-170b7dfa5c0f) - but `enigma_surface` seems to get stuck with the message `enigma_surface_1: Waiting for enigma_core_1...`.

As a result we get the error `Uncaught (in promise) Cannot select worker because no workers registered` when trying to call Enigma to give us the richest millionaire 🙂

Any idea how to resolve this?

Hi @petar,

Take a look at the following post, as the symptom that you report seems to be the same:
